2007_08_04 Saturday Buddy Run : This was an absolute 1st! Taking six riders of wildly differing abilities on a "Buddy Rideout". AND with two observers! No pressure then! It didn't start well with division in the ranks. Then some riders leaving before the leaders, then we got the riders in the wrong order so that the faster ones were held up. But when we got to the junction with Hatta on the Kalba road it all started clicking! With the running order all sorted everyone got what they wanted, and the Buddy System was a winner! It meant that nobody need worry about getting left behind and they all could ride in their own comfort zone! And Andy was there to act as Tail End Charlie! By the end of the day, the "novices" were ripping through the "Bowl" on the Camel Road, and nervous breaking was at a minimum! RESULT! And it's all down to YOU guys! You made it happen, you put the effort in, you unselfishly and patiently passed on the tips -THANKS guys! I am proud of you! Now the bad news, my camera is total shit and I failed to get almost ALL of you - Sorry sorry sorry! John can you come along next time with your camera?
